8 face mask recipes for every skin type

Summer can make our face look very dull, itchy and oily. Thanks to the sun that tans and the greasy air. 

Summer time actually becomes a skin problem time for most of us.

So, here we list 8 homemade packs which you can easily make and keep your skin nourished and hydrated.

Mint and turmeric face pack

Only the idea of a mint face pack can make you feel fresh in the scorching heat. Just grind a handful of mint leaves and add a dash of turmeric powder to it. Leave it for 10-15 minutes. Then wash off.

Egg and honey mask

Egg has many, many nutrients which are really good for not only our health or hair but our skin as well. For the skin egg mask, add one egg white along with a tablespoon of lemon juice in a bowl. Mix them well and apply the paste to your face. Keep it on for 15 to 20 minutes and was it away with lukewarm water. This will help keep your skin tight, oil free and glowing.

Tomato pulp face pack

If you have a skin that is tanned as well as oily, here’s your stone to hit both of them together. Get tomato pulp from a tomato and add in it a drop of honey. Apply the paste wherever you want to de-tan and leave for about 15 minutes. Wash it with cold water.

Detoxifying Coffee Mask

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl to form a spreadable mixture. Allow it to dry on your skin for about 10 minutes. Since this would be a grainy mixture, exfoliate your skin by scrubbing gently when you remove this pack

The caffeine content in this mask is great for detoxifying and reducing the puffiness on your face.

Cucumber Mask

Cucumber is very good for skin in summers. Peel and mash the cucumber. Add sugar to it and mix well. Apply it all over you neck and face This simple DIY cucumber facemask suits all skin types. In fact, this one would not irritate the sensitive skin as well. The cooling effect of cucumber along with the exfoliation of sugar would give you a fresh glowing skin just in 10 minutes.

Aloe Vera Gel Mask

All you need to do is extract the juice of aloe vera and apply it on your face. Let it dry for 10 minutes and wash off. Aloe vera is great for skin and hair. It’s helpful in getting rid of the dead skin cells and speeding up the production of new ones. This might irritate sensitive skin, so test it on your arm before using it on the face.

Rose water pack

This pack helps in combating the dryness and leave a cooling effect on the skin. It also controls the oiliness and makes for perfect protection against the sun. Mix a few drops of honey, some yogurt and rose water together and apply it evenly all over your face and neck. Let it be on your face for around 20 minutes and then wash off.

Soothing Oatmeal Mask

Oatmeal is great for soothing rough, angry skin and for helping to heal eczema and acne breakouts. Paired with honey and yogurt, it’s a calming and revitalizing mask for all skin types. Mix all the above mentioned ingredients together and make a paste. Apply on face and keep for 20 minutes then rinse off.
