Various citrusy fruits can come to great help in keeping oily skin at bay. One such citrus fruit is orange.

Oranges are known to work like magic on the skin and can benefit the skin in numerous ways.

When applied topically on the face, oranges have the capability of absorbing additional oil from the face

The orange peels are rich in fiber, vitamin C, folate, vitamin B6, calcium and other essential nutrients. The skin of the oranges contains a good amount of polyphenols that protect against several diseases. Peels have anti-cancerous properties, due to the presence of limonene, a naturally occurring chemical.

The experience-
I don’t have oily skin so I tried this kit on my friend who happily agreed to do so.

Cleansing being the first and foremost step to prepare her skin for the treatment, I took 2–3 drops of cleansing milk and massaged onto her face in an upward circular motion for 2–3 minutes. Then wiped off with cotton pad.

Exfoliation is the next step, where you remove dead skin cells and unclog the pores. I took a small amount of scrub, massaged onto her face in a circular motion for about 3–5 minutes. Wiped off with damp cotton pads.

Do not scrub harshly. Skin may get irritated.

Then, I took equal quantities of orange massaging cream and orange massaging gel and mixed it thoroughly. With upward and circular strokes I massaged the mixture until it was absorbed into her skin.

I reconstituted orange face pack with rose water and applied evenly onto her face and left on to dry for about 10–15 minutes. Then, I wash off gently with water.

I added two to three drops of astringent on to the cotton pad and dabbed it on her face to complete the facial and close the pores.

Orange being a citric fruit is great for oily skin and vitamin C present is known to remove blemishes and give a glowing skin.

My friend was amazed to see the wonderful results!
